I'm interested in serving on a team,
Where do i begin?
Everyone who serves on a team begins with attending our Welcome Class. This free, 4-week experience introduces you to our story, our culture, our mission and our doctrines. Even if you aren’t sure if you’re ready to serve, coming to Welcome Class is a great place to get to know us better and figure out if The Bridge is a church you could call ‘home’. Will I need a background check?
Everyone who serves on a team goes through the same clearance process before scheduling a test drive. After completing our Welcome Class, you will complete and submit a Ministry Application which includes the following background checks:
State Police Criminal Clearance, Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints*.
*FBI fingerprints are only required for individuals who have not been a permanent physical resident of the state of PA for 10 consecutive years. All others to whom this criteria does not apply must sign an affidavit of fitness to serve.

Can I choose when and where I want to serve?
After your application and clearances have been submitted, you will schedule a meeting with someone on our team to discuss your next steps. Prior experience and personal preferences may be considered when selecting where you will serve, but we will also talk through spiritual health, availability, skills and current needs before determining if and when we will schedule you for a test drive on a team.
